Yesterday, we left Cyprus after being there for five weeks. It was a weird feeling, leaving there, after being there for that long, especially since we are now in a cold place.
The night before, we went to bed early because we had to wake up before seven to catch our plane. My parents didn’t quite calculate the European time change happening, so I was woken up at what they thought was 6:58. We rushed around and jumped in the car as fast as we could. When we got out of the neighborhood we had been staying in, Mom noticed that they had actually woke us up at 5:58. We turned around and had eggs for breakfast, and Kaitlyn and Liam were able to say goodbye to the cats living at our house.
We got to the airport early and hopped on our plane to go to someplace in eastern Europe. After our eight year layover there, we flew to Frankfurt, Germany, where we are right now. The journey from the airport to our house was no fun with our three small bags, two medium-sized, and two big bags.
After we arrived, we were welcomed with a five-story apartment building with no elevator, and still, seven bags. We also found out that we were living right at the very tippy top of that building.
Anyways, I like Germany so far. It was the one place I’ve wanted to go since we went to Rome. Almost everyone walks to where they need to go, and the sidewalks are huge. It doesn’t seem like it’d be very fun to drive on those roads because they are so narrow and there are so many people. It isn’t as cold as I expected it to be, but it definitely isn’t the kind of warm we experienced in Cyprus. The people seem nice, and the clouds don’t make it as gloomy as they do in the U.K.
