Summary On The Last Few Weeks – Peyton

The last few weeks, I have not really written a paper, because I didn’t want to. Just in case you were wondering, we have been doing things, like we went to India. My first impressions were that it was really awesome, then we spent some time there… It sucked. The people there were very nice to us, but there were way too many of them, and cars were everywhere. The roads, which were only meant to be two lanes, were turned into ten lanes, with an ocean of cars and motorcycles, dotted with people. In the back of trucks, were people sleeping, sitting and standing up, and in every car, people piled in until there was no room left. In India, every building had black smoke coming out of it, so it was really hot and polluted. We have only been to two places where we haven’t been able to drink the water: India, and Palma De Mallorca. The first week in India, we stayed at a luxury hotel, where we could relax at the pool all day long… If relaxing is getting your feet burned off on the cement, and having a super loud fan blowing in your face. But even though it sounds like i’m complaining a ton, which i am, there were some cool things about India. Firstly, like I said, the people were very nice to us. Second, the food there was so good. You might know me not to like chicken and rice, but these people really knew how to make it good. Dad said it almost substituted Mexican food, which is our favorite. So, India wasn’t all bad, but I definitely think there were way too many people there, and they really didn’t take into account other people’s space, but that’s ok, it’s their culture.

The last two weeks, we have been in Croatia. I like it here better than India, because it isn’t nearly as hot as India, and we can actually go outside. The honking is controlled here, and we can cross the street without being crushed by two cars travelling really close together. It’s the perfect temperature, at an average of 75° fahrenheit. We are right on the mediterranean, which makes it even better, but there is one poopoo about being here… We are all sick with strep throat, so we’ve been inside most of the time. We took a road trip up to a city called Split, and that was fun, but that’s where we got sick. We are blaming it on Kaitlyn, because she had strep throat in India.
