Rome

And we’re back! After spending 3 whirlwind weeks back in the States for the holidays we have made it back in Europe.

First stop: Rome. We found a great 3 bedroom flat just 4 blocks from the Colosseum and I’m really looking forward to exploring the city. We are only here for a few days, so we’re hoping to fit in just a few of the main sites, which include the Colosseum and the Vatican.

Today we’ll take it slow since we’re all very tired and jet-lagged after our 3 day journey to Rome. This journey included an 8 hour drive down to LA and a wonderful visit with a couple of my Aunts and Uncles, a 10.5 hour flight from LA to London, a 5 hour lay-over in London, a 3 hour flight from London to Rome, and a super-speed half hour Roman taxi-cab drive from the airport to our flat. We hadn’t had dinner yet, so after dropping off our things, we found a little pizzaria down the road and then crawled back up to our flat and went to bed. We were tired.

I look forward to sharing about our time here in Rome, but for now that is all since we haven’t left the flat yet today :).
